Obituary of Ramona Y. De La Cruz

Ramona Yolanda De La Cruz, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the age of 91. She was one out of 10 children and was raised in the city of Salcedo in the Dominican Republic.  Ramona touched the lives of everyone she met. She was always accepting and welcoming of those who came through her door and refused to dismiss anyone. A strong, hard-working woman, she never faltered in the face of adversity. She instilled in her children that the most important thing in life is family and that anything can be achieved if you work together.  She will be lovingly remembered by: Her children -- Victor, Alexis, Isabel, Ralf, Roxi and Robert. Her grandchildren -- Yoli, Victor, Alex, Alexandra, Carolyn, Soraya, Diane, Natalie, Nalia, Rafael, Emily, Stephanie, Julia and Grace. Her daughters-in-law -- Miriam, Tati, Sandra and Jennifer. Her son-in-law Agustin and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6 PM at the Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home. The funeral will take place on Monday at 8:30 AM at the Funeral Home followed by mass at 9:30 AM at St. Francis Church, 114 Mount Vernon Street, Ridgefield Park. Cremation will follow at East Ridgelawn Crematory in Clifton.

Dormida en la paz del Señor el Jueves 15 de Noviembre, 2018 a la edad de 91 años. Ramona fue una de diez hermanos nacidos y criados en la provincia de Salcedo en la Republica Dominicana. Se caracterizó por dejar un toque especial en cada una de las personas que la conocieron; siempre acogiendo y dando la bienvenida a los que a su casa llegaban, se rehúso siempre a rechazar a nadie. Mujer fuerte, trabajadora que nunca se rindió ante las dificultades o adversidades, le inculcó a sus hijos que lo mas importante en la vida es la familia y que todo se puede lograr si permanecen y trabajan juntos. Siempre será recordada con mucho amor por sus hijos:  Victor, Alexis, Isabel, Rafa, Roxi y Roberto. Sus nietos -- Yoly, Victor, Alex, Alexandra, Carolyn, Soraya, Diane, Natalie, Nalia, Rafael, Emily, Stephanie, Julia and Grace. Sus nueras -- Miriam, Tati, Sandra and Jennifer. Su yerno Agustin y nueve bisnietos. El funeral sera el Domingo de 2-6 PM en la Funeraria Vorhees Ingwersen. La Misa de cuerpo presente sera el Lunes a las 9:30 AM en la iglesia de  St. Francis Church, 114 Mount Vernon Street, Ridgefield Park. La cremación sera hecha en East Ridgelawn Crematory en Clifton
