Obituary of Marilyn Ann Lookabill

Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Marilyn Ann Lookabill (nee McCarroll), 88, of Teaneck, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Lookabill and her former late husband Donald Kenney.  Marilyn was the devoted mother of Kevin Kenney and his wife Joy, Arlene Guyre and her husband Thomas, and Joseph Kenney and his wife Tammy.  The greatest joy in her life were her cherished grandchildren Joel, Shannon, Justin, Shauna, Christopher, Jordan, Ashley, and Ian, and 10 great grandchildren.

Marilyn was born in Manhattan, NY to the late Eleanor (nee Price) and the late George McCarroll.  She worked as an Administrator at the widely known Penguin Random House which revolutionized book publishing for many years before her retirement.  Marilyn was a faithful parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church and committed to a life that you would be proud to show to God, and through her belief she was able to be a strong woman and doting mother.  Family was very special to her and knew the importance of spending time together whether it was enjoying a meal or dancing the night at a party.  She was an avid bowler and a competitive bingo enthusiast.  She loved spending the day in Atlantic City with friends and trying her luck at slots.  Marilyn will be remembered for her bright personality and kindness to all.

A Funeral Mass in Marilyn’s honor will be held at St. Francis R.C. Church on Monday, August 19th beginning at 10 A.M. followed by interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
