Obituary of Santo G Sorrenti

Please share a memory of Santo to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Santo G. (Joe) Sorrenti, age 86, of Little Ferry, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary (nee Persico), Santo leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: Lisa Lindis and her husband Tim, Joseph Sorrenti and his wife Soonim, and David Sorrenti. He was a devoted grandfather to TJ and his wife Paige, Marisa, and Anthony. He is also survived by his cherished sister, Maria Midili.

Santo was born in Patti, Sicily, to the late Rosa (nee Crifo) and the late Biaggio Sorrenti. A master craftsman in steelworking and machinery, he was known for his many talents, including woodworking and cooking. Santo loved preparing large meals for family gatherings and was famous for his delicious chicken parmesan.

For many years, Santo worked at National Standard, where his skill and dedication were evident. However, he was perhaps most well known as "Mr. Joe," the custodian in the Little Ferry School System, where he was beloved by the community. Santo was also a proud member of the Cherry Hill Gun Club in Highland Park, where he enjoyed the camaraderie of his fellow members.

Santo’s warm spirit, kindness, and devotion to his family and friends will be deeply missed.
